Abstract

Digital transformation has become an important aspect of any organization that is keen on enhancing its performance and remaining competitive in the ever-changing business environment. The use of advanced types of digital technology, such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and big data analytics, have resulted in profound shifts in organizational operations and efficiency. This paper aims to discuss the impact of the digital transformation on the effectiveness of the organization, considering such dimensions as productivity, innovation, and individual employee performance. In this study, the research design is a descriptive and analytical study. The primary data has been collected by the use of questionnaires to employees and managers of various organizations. The secondary data is acquired through academic articles and trade publications. Digital transformation has been discovered to enhance organizational effectiveness through enhancement of efficiency, evidence-based decision-making, and innovation. Nonetheless, the concept of digital transformation has a number of concerns, including the cost of implementation, unwillingness to change the existing practices, data protection and lack of skills on the part of employees, and which may adversely affect the successful adoption of digital strategies and inhibit its beneficial impacts on organizations. To conclude, one can state that digital transformation is essential to enhance organizational effectiveness, but in order to become effective, it is essential to have strategic implementation, proper technological preparation and proper human resource management.
